P.O.R.N. Diets

I am coining this term as I feel some of the diets out there are so radical they need to be discussed in one place.

We here from our favorite celebrities daily and some of us live for this. We follow them on Twitter, talk about them on Bebo and MySpace or e mail each other about them especially when a new diet is talked about.

There have been some over the top radical diets in the past like the 'Air diet', not a very popular one for obvious reasons unlike the 'Chocolate' diet. Then there is the more main stream 'Atkins' diet or 'The Dash Diet' or even 'The South Beach Diet'. All have there plus and minus points and their advocates and nay sayers as well.

The trick when it comes to diets if there is a trick in selecting one would be to thoroughly research the topic. The mere fact that there literally are thousands of diets commercially available shown on television, billboards or even your local Chemist shop.

Here will be many, many articles pertaining to the topic of P.O.R.N. Diets circulating our media and your opinion on them is most welcome. Maybe you have been on one and would like to praise it or maybe warn others away from it. Whatever you may like to share, diet related, please do.

Determine What Is The Acne Remedy For You.

By Clayton D.

Defining acne- Acne can be defined as a skin condition caused by over active sebum producing glands clogging pores with dead skin, dirt and hair instead of evenly coating the skin with the sebum. The exact cause of the condition must be determined before a suitable acne remedy is identified.

Recognizing acne- The condition is often incorrectly diagnosed or wrongfully recognized. This is most probably as a result of different skin conditions resembling acne. It is important to identify certain acne features such as excessively oily skin, white and black head break-outs and large bumps on and under the skin.

Types of acne- Acne can be classified as either inflammatory and non-inflammatory. The two most common types of non inflammatory acne are white- and blackheads. Whiteheads are formed when sebum and bacteria is trapped just below the skin surface. These lesions take the form of tiny white spots requiring a very close look before you will be able to notice them. Blackheads are formed when pores are open and sebum and dirty blocks the pore just as with the case of white heads. However the melanin and oxidizes contained in the sebum discolours to black or brown. Blackheads are very stubborn, they will not wash away easily and the black contents takes a very long time to drain. There two types on inflammatory acne namely papule's and pustules. Papules form when the follicle wall is broken, white blood cells rush into the area and pores become painful and terribly inflamed. Pustules form when white blood cells surface after a couple of days. These inflamed areas can become even more inflamed, turning into nodules when follicles totally collapse causing very painful bumps or Cysts.

Causes acne- Acne causes include but are not limited to an unhealthy diet, dirt, vitamin and mineral deficiency, hormone fluctuation during puberty or pregnancy and stress.

Treatment options- An endless range of acne treatment options are available from natural and herbal remedies to prescription medication in the form of antibiotics, ointments and topical creams.

Natural remedies- Homemade as well as natural remedies are great for treating acne. Apple Cider Vinegar or ACV for short, is super for treating and clearing spots and acne scars. Dab the spots with a ACV soaked cotton ball and leave overnight. Calamine Lotion is a wonder cure both drying and clearing acne by merely rubbing a bit of lotion on the spots and leaving it to dry. Juice of gel made from Aloe Vera will clear the condition with a couple of weeks of regular application. The skins' overall health and glow will also significantly improve.

Hydration- Skin hydration is absolutely essential for combating acne. This is easily achieved by drinking a lot of water. The water will detox and flush-out built up toxins in a natural and safe way. You will notice the difference in just a couple of days. Your skin will be radiant, soft and glowing.

Dietary deficiency- Acne can be caused by a lack in your diet in the form of vitamins and minerals. A great range of vitamin and mineral supplements are available at your pharmacy or local health store.

Professional analysis- It is essential to have your skin condition analysed by a professional such as a Physician or Dermatologist, he or she will be able to recommend the best treatment for the acne. The acne treatment should absolutely match you skin and acne type.
