P.O.R.N. Diets

I am coining this term as I feel some of the diets out there are so radical they need to be discussed in one place.

We here from our favorite celebrities daily and some of us live for this. We follow them on Twitter, talk about them on Bebo and MySpace or e mail each other about them especially when a new diet is talked about.

There have been some over the top radical diets in the past like the 'Air diet', not a very popular one for obvious reasons unlike the 'Chocolate' diet. Then there is the more main stream 'Atkins' diet or 'The Dash Diet' or even 'The South Beach Diet'. All have there plus and minus points and their advocates and nay sayers as well.

The trick when it comes to diets if there is a trick in selecting one would be to thoroughly research the topic. The mere fact that there literally are thousands of diets commercially available shown on television, billboards or even your local Chemist shop.

Here will be many, many articles pertaining to the topic of P.O.R.N. Diets circulating our media and your opinion on them is most welcome. Maybe you have been on one and would like to praise it or maybe warn others away from it. Whatever you may like to share, diet related, please do.

Beware of These 3 Big Diet Mistakes

By Thong M. Dao

Although weight loss information is so easy to find, people always make the same mistakes with their diets. We're not talking about a little piece of chocolate cake from time to time, but mistakes that make it impossible for you to achieve your weight loss goals. Once you understand what you're doing wrong, you're one step further to lifetime weight loss.

1. All or Nothing. Dieters of this kind will typically opt for an intense dieting program that they just cannot keep up. First off, they will throw away everything in the kitchen that is not appropriate for the program. They would like to be perfectionists.

So they'll be, for 1 day, 3 days, 7 days or even a few weeks. After that, unavoidably, something occurs that means they can't hold on to the dieting 1 time. Right away the whole thing is destroyed in their eyes and the dieting is ended. They go to the shop and purchase all the things that entered the garbage last week and continue to gain back all the pounds they dropped off, as quickly as they can.

When you're this sort of dieter you have to ask yourself a few tough questions. Do you truly wish to slim down for good, or merely drop off some weight so that you could enjoy putting them back on once again? The path forwards is to make minor modifications to what you consume so that you've a slow but stable weight loss.

2. The Sacrifice Attitude. A lot of people consider their diet a sacrifice. They deprive themselves from their favorite foods to achieve their goals. Chances are you have a good diet in place and lose weight successfully, but what's next?

You do not know how to moderate your junk foods consumption, therefore once you begin, you cannot stop. You had better relish junk food in your dieting in small amounts. That way you will more likely follow it.

3. Goal Failure. Doable goals are what you need in your fitness program. You'd better write them down clearly. Although you know your ideal weight, if you're too far from that goal, it's useless.

A more effective goal may be to drop off 2 pounds a week for 5 weeks then 1 pound a week afterwards. A few weeks you'll drop off more and a few less, some weeks you might even gain, however if you track your progress you'll find out that ups and downs are normal and don't bar you from advancing steadily towards your major destination.

When you've been making those errors, don't worry. The most crucial point in diet as in other things is to go on. Learn from your failures besides your success and don't use an error as an excuse for quitting. The only path to reach your destination for good is making a commitment to be a fitter individual. Don't forget that eating normally consists of consuming more a few days and less others. Learn to relish foods in moderation and you've all chance of warding off those harmful dieting errors.
