P.O.R.N. Diets

I am coining this term as I feel some of the diets out there are so radical they need to be discussed in one place.

We here from our favorite celebrities daily and some of us live for this. We follow them on Twitter, talk about them on Bebo and MySpace or e mail each other about them especially when a new diet is talked about.

There have been some over the top radical diets in the past like the 'Air diet', not a very popular one for obvious reasons unlike the 'Chocolate' diet. Then there is the more main stream 'Atkins' diet or 'The Dash Diet' or even 'The South Beach Diet'. All have there plus and minus points and their advocates and nay sayers as well.

The trick when it comes to diets if there is a trick in selecting one would be to thoroughly research the topic. The mere fact that there literally are thousands of diets commercially available shown on television, billboards or even your local Chemist shop.

Here will be many, many articles pertaining to the topic of P.O.R.N. Diets circulating our media and your opinion on them is most welcome. Maybe you have been on one and would like to praise it or maybe warn others away from it. Whatever you may like to share, diet related, please do.

Body Makeover

Determining your body type is the first step in losing weight on the Michael Thurman 6 Week Body Makeover. Once you know the type of body you have, the foods you consume will assist you in your weight loss. The whole goal of this weight loss program is to make smart chooses when eating. Many people who diet give up as they feel like the amount of food that they eat is not enough. The people tend to cheat as they are not satisfied with the types of foods they eat and quantity of food that they get to eat.

The first step in the body makeover diet is to know your body structure. Your body structure is unique and can be categorized into four different types: A, B, C or D. The body blue print asks you 48 questions about your weight loss goals, exercise activities, where you gain weight and eating habits.

The type A body has a slow metabolism and these type of people have struggled with weight loss all of their lives. The reason for this is because these types of people are more sensitive to carbohydrates which are found in certain types of fruits and vegetables. Foods to avoid for type A bodies are fruits and starchy types of vegetables. Proteins should be limited to white fish and lean poultry.

People with B bodies tend to have more lean muscle and an easier time gaining lean muscle mass. Type B people have higher metabolisms than Type A's, however, these people still have problems losing weight as their metabolisms are not quite at the point where their bodies burn off as many calories as they take in. People that have a B body need to stay away from rice, pasta and processed carbs. Type C people have similar bodies to Type B people, the only difference is that C people can eat more carbohydrates as their lean muscle mass tends to burn off calories faster than B people.

D body types have very slow metabolisms due to a lack of lean muscle mass. They should stay away from most carbohydrates and focus on eating protein rich foods such as red meat and chicken. A sample recipe for a D body is a New York steak with steamed garden vegetables.

Being able to determine your body type is the first step in losing weight. The Michael Thurman 6 week diet makeover states that people can lose up to 30 lbs in 6 weeks. However results will vary depending on your body type.
