P.O.R.N. Diets

I am coining this term as I feel some of the diets out there are so radical they need to be discussed in one place.

We here from our favorite celebrities daily and some of us live for this. We follow them on Twitter, talk about them on Bebo and MySpace or e mail each other about them especially when a new diet is talked about.

There have been some over the top radical diets in the past like the 'Air diet', not a very popular one for obvious reasons unlike the 'Chocolate' diet. Then there is the more main stream 'Atkins' diet or 'The Dash Diet' or even 'The South Beach Diet'. All have there plus and minus points and their advocates and nay sayers as well.

The trick when it comes to diets if there is a trick in selecting one would be to thoroughly research the topic. The mere fact that there literally are thousands of diets commercially available shown on television, billboards or even your local Chemist shop.

Here will be many, many articles pertaining to the topic of P.O.R.N. Diets circulating our media and your opinion on them is most welcome. Maybe you have been on one and would like to praise it or maybe warn others away from it. Whatever you may like to share, diet related, please do.

The Summer Is The Perfect Time For Cellulite Treatments

The summer is the time that everyone goes to the beach, the clothes come off and the cellulite is exposed. If you suffer from this problem together with the other 90% of women who do, perhaps now is the time to take a look at cellulite treatments. This condition does not only affect overweight women, anyone stands a chance of it happening, so you should always exercise and watch your diet, as prevention is far better than cure.

Even after having been careful regarding what we eat, and making sure we get enough exercise, we are still able to be prone to cellulite. If this is a real problem and it is unsightly as well as embarrassing it may be necessary to undergo treatment. Sometimes it doesn't matter how careful we are, the cellulite appears and it just won't go away. Cellulite is fat that lies in pocket-like deposits under the dermis and it makes the skin look bumpy and dented, sort of like the skin of an orange.

Strangely enough not even intervention like liposuction is able to rid you of the effects of cellulite. However there are some treatments which can be very effective in reducing the appearance of this problem. These treatments are constantly being researched and improved and one of the latest innovations is Velasmooth. This treatment makes use of elos technology and is safe for all skin types.

Another treatment that has been used in Europe for some time is Mesotherapy. It is relatively good for localized cellulite deposits but the downside of this treatment is that microinjections are given to the patient and these can have side affects. It is not suitable for everyone and I don't know about you, but I don't fancy having someone giving me injections in the butt.

The general well being of a person and the appearance of the skin can be improved by intensive deep tissue massage. For a very serious cellulite problem however this kind of treatment is not the answer. It takes time and many sessions for improvements to be seen and we are looking for a quicker fix with more long lasting results.

Another new innovation in cellulite treatments is Thermage. This treatment was designed to firm up loose skin following surgery, but it has been found to also yield positive results in the treatment of cellulite. Another option is the herbal body wrap, which also improves circulation and targets localized cellulite deposits. It improves the texture of the skin and makes it look toned and firm.

Taking care of yourself after having cellulite treatments is also very important. You don't want to be back at step one again after the summer is over. This entails a maintenance process and it will help you reduce the chances of the cellulite re-appearing.

Once again we have to stress that careful diet and exercise are important to keep the body looking toned. Vigorous exercise encourages sweating which also helps to flush out toxins. It is also important to drink as much as 8 - 12 glasses of water daily. This helps to eliminate toxins and eating water based foods can reduce weight gain, bloating and puffiness. Keeping the skin well moisturized with a vitamin E enriched body lotion improves the texture of the skin, and using a massage motion when you apply the lotion will help to increase the circulation of the blood through the layers of skin. Dry brushing in the shower enhances the texture of the skin, and water jets in the bath will improve the flow of blood and lymph. If you are exercising regularly at a gym, make use of the sauna as this also lessens the chance of toxins building up in the body.
