P.O.R.N. Diets

I am coining this term as I feel some of the diets out there are so radical they need to be discussed in one place.

We here from our favorite celebrities daily and some of us live for this. We follow them on Twitter, talk about them on Bebo and MySpace or e mail each other about them especially when a new diet is talked about.

There have been some over the top radical diets in the past like the 'Air diet', not a very popular one for obvious reasons unlike the 'Chocolate' diet. Then there is the more main stream 'Atkins' diet or 'The Dash Diet' or even 'The South Beach Diet'. All have there plus and minus points and their advocates and nay sayers as well.

The trick when it comes to diets if there is a trick in selecting one would be to thoroughly research the topic. The mere fact that there literally are thousands of diets commercially available shown on television, billboards or even your local Chemist shop.

Here will be many, many articles pertaining to the topic of P.O.R.N. Diets circulating our media and your opinion on them is most welcome. Maybe you have been on one and would like to praise it or maybe warn others away from it. Whatever you may like to share, diet related, please do.

The Truth About the Supposed Acai Berry-Rachael Ray Connection

By Travis Van Slooten

If you come across that "acai berry as seen on Rachael Ray" slogan all too often and in different acai sites at that, you'll no doubt wonder why Rachael seem to be endorsing different brands. The truth is, she isn't. When it comes to this little berry that has taken the health industry by storm, there are so many half-truths and scams perpetrated that it's tough sifting through the myth from the reality. That Rachael Ray is backing an acai supplement brand is one such myth.

The False Claims

It's quite straightforward, really. Any company that says their product is endorsed by Rachael Ray is making false claims. There has been no mention made of the acai berry diet on Rachael Ray, the tv show, as well. Somehow, these people and businesses find it easy to attach their products to the popular talk show host and claim an acai berry - Rachael Ray connection, even if such an endorsement has never been made. Even if this company were selling a good product, such business practices would put their sincerity and legitimacy in question. And all these lies are made in order to make easy money.

How Rachael Ray Sees Acai Berry

Rachel Ray, very much along the same lines as Oprah, has already had to come out publicly and make the statement that she does not endorse any acai supplements. Her website already makes it clear that any company using her endorsement is doing so illegally. She has been fighting these companies by sending her lawyers in to remove the offending site. But more and more of these scam companies continue to pop up every day and there is no way to remove all of them.

Where Did the Lie Start?

Because of the popularity of the acai berry, manufacturers and distributors are using these supposed endorsements by famous names to either make a quick buck by selling substandard products which you can never tell (they're endorsed by celebrities, remember?) or make their brand "outshine" all the other acai companies. Either way, it's best to steer clear of these companies who are fond of name-dropping. You will only be encouraging them to continue deceiving consumers.

Rather than worry about which celebrity endorses the product you are considering, you need to educate yourself on what sets different acai products apart from one another. Once you know what makes for a good acai berry product, you will be able to select a good company with a high quality product, even if they are not endorsed by Rachel Ray. While you may have seen acai berry on Rachel Ray, there are absolutely no acai berry diet products endorsed by her or her show.
