P.O.R.N. Diets

I am coining this term as I feel some of the diets out there are so radical they need to be discussed in one place.

We here from our favorite celebrities daily and some of us live for this. We follow them on Twitter, talk about them on Bebo and MySpace or e mail each other about them especially when a new diet is talked about.

There have been some over the top radical diets in the past like the 'Air diet', not a very popular one for obvious reasons unlike the 'Chocolate' diet. Then there is the more main stream 'Atkins' diet or 'The Dash Diet' or even 'The South Beach Diet'. All have there plus and minus points and their advocates and nay sayers as well.

The trick when it comes to diets if there is a trick in selecting one would be to thoroughly research the topic. The mere fact that there literally are thousands of diets commercially available shown on television, billboards or even your local Chemist shop.

Here will be many, many articles pertaining to the topic of P.O.R.N. Diets circulating our media and your opinion on them is most welcome. Maybe you have been on one and would like to praise it or maybe warn others away from it. Whatever you may like to share, diet related, please do.

Rumors, Lies and Quick Weight Loss

For people that need a Quick Weight Loss method, the bad news is that no system is perfect; losing those unwanted pounds is a good way to reduce those health risks associated with being overweight. There is more harm caused to an overweight person than just pride as many serious medical conditions are as a result of obesity.

You must not forget that the success of any Quick Weight Loss method will be as a result of the person using it as a correct attitude is paramount. Before you decide on how you intend to lose weight you need to decide if it is for your benefit; i.e. to remain healthy, or is it because someone else wants you to lose weight.

Many factors affect how well your weight loss program will go including how much physical activity you have during a normal day, the type of food you eat, how many meals you have and when those meals are eaten. Weight loss should not be achieved at a rapid rate so do not expect to lose thirty pounds each and every month because you will not achieve this and may create physical problems that often occur when weight is lost quickly.

Considering that one pound represents 3500 calories which can be burned or lost in a week, it means you need to get rid of 500 calories a day either through exercise or proper diet. Eating is a complex issue and although we all eat to many foods that have no health benefits, in fact quite the opposite, it is not a good idea to cut out every type of food we enjoy.

Another more subtle factor is the emotional reaction to stress and problems as many people simply start eating when they feel insecure or depressed. Bad eating habits are a real issue that can cause diabetes, cancer, various heart problems and high blood pressure. The psychology behind each persons weight gain is as important as the method of Quick Weight Loss used because if this is not addressed, there is nothing to stop the weight being piled back on faster than it was before.

However, current research is showing that people that do not take weight loss programs too seriously are more likely to have success. Being positive is one of the most important aspects in life as it can help us achieve things we did not believe possible. The great thing about weight loss is the extra energy you feel and how much more positive your outlook is to life in general which obviously has an impact on self-esteem as well.

Many Quick Weight Loss programs are far from it as they actually test the person using them but the pain barrier does not last long and once through it, the whole system becomes more pleasant.
